Kyo Lee

Kyo Lee

Kyo Lee is a grade 11 Korean-Canadian student, writer and philanthropist. She is currently the chair of SVP Teens and is involved in several local organizations involving youth in the community. As a writer, Kyo is the youngest winner of the CBC Poetry Prize and finalist for the RBC Bronwen Wallace Award for Emerging Writers. Her work also appears in Narrative, Nimrod, Prism, The Forge, This Magazine, and Synergy, among others. Her debut poetry collection “i cut my tongue on a broken country” is forthcoming with Arsenal Pulp Press in 2025. She loves colourful skies, fresh strawberries and oceans.
Katia Mueller

Kat Mueller

Katia Mueller is a 16 year old student at Laurel Heights Secondary School. Outside of school, she volunteers at Abraham Erb Public School, as well as working on her two separated businesses - Flow, a beautiful jewelry brand that has been running since April 2020, and Nubrain, a clothing business that focuses on beach/summer related merchandise, that began at the end of 2023. She is looking to expand both businesses. Katia participates in Junior Achievement, as well as Laurel Heights Band and is actively involved in a number of different extracurriculars.

Jordan Prentice

Jordan Prentice is a fourth-year Political Science major at Wilfrid Laurier University. While at university she has been a Residence Don for two years and is currently a Residence Education Advisor for the university. She has also been co-president of the university’s Enactus social enterprise team for the last two years, and founder of Kuponya Innovations.
Aalaa

Aalaa Rehman

Aalaa Rehman is a youth leader, activist, and entrepreneur. She has always been driven to serve her community however she can, especially the most vulnerable, including marginalized groups and children. At just the age of 6, she began her activism, starting with her company Aalaa Conseil, with the tagline “Our Children Matter”. Through this, she has had many projects-- including making video games about important issues in a way that is understandable to children, and her radio show, #CANYouthVoteMatter & #CANMinorityVoteMatter-- making her one of the youngest Canadian Radio Show Hosts.

Rebecca is in her third year studying biomedical engineering at the university of Waterloo. She continues to be a high achiever, receiving outstanding grades in her classes and helping others in her program.

Madison Schuetze, a dedicated student at the University of Waterloo, embodies excellence in the field of Mathematical Physics. Beyond her academic pursuits, Madison shines as a leader in various extracurricular activities, including music ensembles, the faculties Science Society, and the university's Ringette team. Her multifaceted involvement highlights her commitment to both personal and communal growth, serving as an inspiration and role model for all aspiring women in STEM disciplines.

Zoe’s quiet enthusiasm underscores her purpose, “To make things better for others.” She’s referring to her passion to encourage and support students and prospective students in Engineering. Zoe is a third year Mechanical Systems Engineering degree program student at Conestoga College. She is a strong voice for females in a non-traditional career at the college and within the post-secondary sector. Her volunteer work is extensive. She is involved in numerous volunteer groups that promote engineering and is an active President’s Student Ambassador, where she shares her unique experiences with students, employees, donors, and employers, strengthening the Conestoga brand.

Originating from Kitchener-Waterloo, Katelyn Wu is a first year health sciences student at Queen’s University. She is driven by her passion for STEM, and its endless problem-solving applications. A curious yet compassionate individual, Katelyn strives to harness her passions and abilities to make real-world differences. From her time as a taekwondo instructor, to serving in her local assisted living facility, Katelyn is a dedicated leader and role model to her peers. Her contributions to the community extend further, with her most recent project, a self-learning braille device designed to educate the visually impaired, garnering attention at the national science fair.
